Photographer’s Note

The photo illustrets the bottom of Velická dolina (The Velická Valley).
The Velická Valley is 6 km long terraced valley, situated below the eastern slopes of a huge crotch of the Gerlachovský štít (Gerlachovský Peak) -which is the highest peak in the High Tatras (2654,4 m). It is characteristic with a huge basin in its southern slope. Above the first craggy terrace at the Velické Mountain-lake, there was built a mountain hotel called Sliezsky Dom (Sliezsky House). Behind the lake you can see the green marked path ascending near the waterfall up to the grassed field Kvetnica with a slowly disappearing mountain-lake of the same name.

Hy,

Nice reflection in this lake. I also like the Point of View.

It's only sad to see the sky so bright. A graduate filter would have helped you keep more details in the sky.

Nevertheless it is a nice picture.
