Photographer’s Note

The mountain range of the Tatras is divided into the High Tatras, the West Tatras and the Belianske Tatras. The overall surface is 785 Km2, 610 km2 of which belong to Slovakia. In te High Tatras there is the highest peak of the whole Carpathians, Gerlachovsky stit(2655 m).
The need for preservation of nature and extraordinary Tatra landscape was realize very early. In 1949 a national park TANAP was founded on the Slovak side.

In the near future I`ll try to come up with more photos and informations from TANAP. I hope you wille enjoy the beauties of these great mountains.
