Hi TE friends

This is Maribor. A very pleasant to walk and enjoy the river. There are some restaurrants and cafes in front of river with esplanades.

In th WS, I posted another picture of the same place but with better view of other side of river.

The origin of the city of Maribor is closely linked with the crossing over the river Drava. Thus the greater part of the town’s old history rotates around the river Drava and the bridges over it. Many merchant routes lead through the town, so that the bridge represented in peaceful times a source of income, in times of war it was the cause of different dangers. Today’s Old Bridge, built between the years 1906 and 1912, was one of the most beautiful bridges in the Austro-Hungarian Empire

Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia. The population of Maribor is approximately 133,000. Maribor lies on the river Drava at the meeting point of the Pohorje Mountain, the Drava Valley, the Drava Plain, and the Kozjak and Slovenske gorice hill ranges. It is the center of the Slovenian region of Lower Styria and its largest city. Maribor Airport is the second largest international airport in Slovenia. The nearest larger urban center is Graz in Austria which is about 60 km (40 miles) away.

Maribor's coat of arms features a white pigeon flying downwards above a white castle with two towers and a portcullis on a red shield.

Popular tourist sites in Maribor include the 12th century cathedral in the Gothic style and the town hall constructed in the Renaissance fashion. The castle dates from the 15th century.
The city hosts the University of Maribor, established in 1961[4], and many other schools. It is also home to the oldest grapevine in the world called Stara trta, which is more than 400 years old.

Olá Aires!
Já conheço essa ponte, mas só a tinha visto à noite! Nessa hora do dia, ficou linda também! Nitidez, controle de luminosidade e cores excelentes! Ponte de vista muito bem escolhido e a composição é o ponto alto dessa imagem atraente e bela, com esses galhos de árvores a cair sobre as águas!

This is a well composed shot using the tree limbs to frame the bridge and boat. The late day lighting adds warmth to the scene and brings out excellent color. The photo has nice sharpness ad depth. The bridge creates a nice diagonal through the scene.

Vraiment magnifique la photo de ce pont avec les merveilleux reflets et les branches d'arbres pleureurs qui l'encadre. Chez-nous nous avons des saules pleureurs qui ont des branches semblables. Excellente composition avec le pont en diagonale et superbes couleurs.

Olá Aires,
Aproveitaste bem a fotogenia desta ponte. Depois de umas quantas, aqui estão mais duas belas fotos, muito bem compostas e com uma luz e cores maravilhosas. Gosto imenso do primeiro plano escuro, com os chorões a enquadrarem o fundo, como umas cortinas, e dos reflexos amarelos e vermelhos na água.
Acho as duas excelentes, mas talvez prefira esta.

Good composition with the warm red and yellow of the bridge and its reflection in the river and the dark branches of the willows and the dark water of the water.
