Photographer’s Note

Lake Bohinj (Slovene: Bohinjsko jezero) is the largest permanent lake in Slovenia. Lake Bohinj is located in the Bohinj municipality in the north-west of the country, and is inside Triglav National Park.

Lake Bohinj is 4.2 km long and 1 km at its maximum width. It is a glacial lake dammed by a moraine.

The largest of the streams that flow into the lake, the Savica ("little Sava"), is fed from Črno jezero (Black Lake), the largest lake in the Triglav Lakes Valley.

The outflow is the Jezernica which merges with the Mostnica to form the Sava Bohinjka (which in turn merges with Sava Dolinka to become the Sava).

The area is associated with the legendary "Zlatorog", a white chamois with golden horns. A statue of the creature stands beside the lake.

This is really a marvellous scenery and a very good composition. I like the several triangles formed by the mountain sides and their reflections in green and blue.

Ovoliko plave boje nije normalno za Bohinj. Ali to je zbog dubokih senki. I sve to doprinosi da osunčana livada (ili zelena padina, svejedno) na desnoj strani ima i primesu žute, tople boje. Započeo sam o bojama, a u stvari znam da je ovo božansko mesto i posetio sam ga jednom prilikom u sred leta.

Lepo sam večeras opet bio na Bohinju, odmorio sam pogled i idem dalje. Svet je veliki.

Hello Stasa,
As I notice,regarding your picture there are also beautiful landscapes in your country which I would love to visit one day.
Very nice caught of this scene,its just a little bit blueish to my taste but your point of view is good though.
