winter breeze Photo

Photographer’s Note

I guess I will be returning back to Notranjska many times. Specially in this days of fog and semi-rain. The gentle touch of sun rays, tender winter breeze playing with frost on leaves, fresh air of a clear bright day, well how not to look back.

j'aime la branche givrée et aussi les les traces laissées par le givre tombant des arbres .

Hi Jeri,

you always have great ideas and also a perfect quality in your photos. Here I like the composition and the nice contrast between the blurred dark background and the lit foreground, also the movement coming in from the falling drops.

Hi Jeri.

Another lovely, crisp shot. I love the focus on the higher branch and the blurred background. I'm not too sure about the inclusion of the lower branch in focus - but the shot works very well. Great sharpness and lovely winter light and colour.

Tale mi je pa res vsec Jeri. Brez listja levo spodaj bi bila precej manj privlačna. Ozadje naredi fajn vertikale, padajoče ivje pa lepe diagonale, ki povezujejo obe veji. Dobro izbrana tudi globinska ostrina.

Just a detail can make this great shot. Leaves dropping snow , that you has get on image in a good way, light nicely captured, contrast is correct, sharpness OK and depth of field well used to separate foreground and background perfectly.

Gorgeous shot. I love the sharpness and delicate look of the frost and leaves. Good framing too, situating them at the top of the picture. The openig of f/4.5 seems a good choice as it gives a fine lur to the trees in the background so we can make them out, without them taking our interest away from the foreground

Nice composition, simple but very effective to graphical level. I like the contrast between the frosted leaves illuminated by the Sun, the blurry background and the drops falling down, with a very dynamic effect.
The set has a lot of aesthetic strenght, I like it.

Hi Jeri,
delicate and beautiful photography with the detail of great quality that shapes the fight between two natural forces: the sun against the ice. Those drops of defrosting produced by the impact of the sun falling to the ground are fantastic.
We can appreciate the brown color of the leaves once the sun warms up them with its rays. Elegant presentation with the vertical and excellent format the exhibition of the image.

Fortunately you don't publish photos every day so I can catch up my delay for all the photos which I like and which I haven't commented yet!
I like the way with which you bring to light this detail met during a walk: as a jewel in its case. The oppositions neatness / vagueness and shadows / light are perfected. Golden leaves are magnificent in this bluish environment and then there are these small drops which streak the image with the thaw.
It is charming!
Thank you for the lesson of Slovenian with the help fro Miha, I keep it in a file for when I shall return in Slovenia!

This is simply a splendid photo. The light shining through the leaves gives a very nice atmosphere, and the composition is interesting too, what with the leaves in the lower left-hand corner that almost go unnoticed. Well done!

Very clever photograph, I don't know how did you caught that rain drop with 1/125, but that part have been captured perfectly and I think its the soul of your picture.
The DOF is outstanding too, and the main branch at the top works very clever, and give a sign of hope for a better weather.
