Vintgar Gorge Photo

Photographer’s Note

Blejski Vintgar is a gorge approximately 3km North of Slovenia`s prime tourits attraction Bled. The route itself through it is 1,6km long, but I think it took me at least two hours to cross it, because I went haywire with my camera, while my friends were constantly waiting for me (te he he:). The thing is the trail is about a meter wide, while me carrying a tripod, a camera and a rucksack is basically the same. :)

If you visit Bled you should definitely pay attention to this place too. It`s gorge-ous.

This should be something like heaven.great depth with superb vertical framing.and very rich green tones.very peaceful and fresh atmosphere.also excellent light,very successful exposure..a wonderful nature scene..TFS

A nice landscape - the smooth water effect works well. I like that there are shades of blue amongst the white.

A difficult place to take photos Miha.
One day I went there it was raining and the other it was a little bit sunny. You could spend forever taking photos waiting for the right one!

Hello Miha,

Very nice shot with a good and efficience use of the vertical format. The river is very dynamic, this river is too a way which invite to discovery the place. Beautiful colors well collected too.

Dragi Miha,

taj motiv sam mnogo puta video na razglednicama i poželeo sam toliko puta da taj prirodni spektakl vidim uživo. Do danas ništa od toga, ali život je pred nama. Pa ni Slovenija nije tako daleko. Uživao sam u ovom pogledu. Hvala ti druže!

Spectacular shot here. Nice colours and excellent composition. I cannot believe I missed this spot when I was last in Slovenia. Next time I am there, I will do exactly what you did...go crazy with my camera and take a 1000 photos!

Very good how you captured this waterfall.
Beautiful and sharp nature picture.
You're right to advise the visitors of Bled also to go to the Vintgar Gorge that is close by.
I was there last July and in the touristic high season it has become already a popular hike.

Hello Miha, Beautiful nature scene, nice saturation of colour, not overdone, in these type of wooded areas the light is always very difficult, you have managed it very well here. I think a little overexposed in some areas but it works very well, I like the effect on the water & colour, the vertical framing is also very appropriate. Lovely tranquil scene with plenty of depth.
