Court of the Myrtles
detail of the wall - continued
... Originally the gardens were lower and probably filled with dwarf trees. Until 16th century it was known as 'The Comares Court' and more recently, as 'The Court of the Pool'. This last feature plays a very important role in the architectural and aesthetic definition of the courtyard where the buildings are reflected in the mirror-like sheet of water, giving them greater volume and breaking the excessive horizontality of the place (see here)...
(to be continued)
Stephen Wilkinson captured the court very well (showing the south facade which from this very detail was taken) and his photo is available here, so please take your time and have a look. |

Wow! :)) Napokon detalj koji mi se svidja! ;)) Iskreno, ne volim bas fotke tih reljefa i sl... Puno su mi draze "zive" slike. Fotke su tehnicki super, da ne pomislis, nego... :)) A sad za publiku! ;))
Very nice geometry shot with beautifull play of colors and ornaments! Crop is spot on and I realy like this one among all others. Congrat Robi! :))) TFS :)))
P.S. Ne se ljutiti na iskrenost! :)) Daj nesto zivo pa da komentarisem! :)))

ziggy
interesting tiles here, I like the way you have shot the tiles and the colours are super, well done
I like the composition, the top left tiles look almost liquid - the colours and sharpness are outstanding on this one:)
Mais um padrão dessa linda serie. Otima sensibilidade e precisão no enquadramento e nas cores. Otimo trabalho Robert.
Greetings.
