''Dominance is Only for Allah(GOD)''
Calligraphy has arguably become the most venerated form of Islamic art because it provides a link between the languages of the Muslims with the religion of Islam. The holy book of Islam, the Qur'an, has played an important role in the development and evolution of the Arabic language, and by extension, calligraphy in the Arabic alphabet.
Proverbs and complete passages from the Qur'an are still active sources for Islamic calligraphy. The Arabic alphabet consists of 28 letters and 18 different forms of writing.

Hi Don Gusti!
A beautiful shot and an interesting note! I personally love calligraphy, and this shot is really nicely composed!. By the way, do you know why calligraphy has become so important in the islamic culture? Simply because it is forbidden to draw pictural representations of God... so in order to decorate, the Qur'an text was used in a calligraphic way... several styles exist!
Have a nice day!

Hi Don Gust, interesting picture, however you missed a letter on the picture, just incase you didnt know what the writing says which is found throughout the whole Alhambra Palace and also one in Seville.

Estimado Don,
