| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Taken in early spring, this image shows the "white village" of Bérchules, deep in the Alpujarras region of Andalucia (see also here or here). It is truly a great landscape: deep valleys, gorges, pretty villages and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
I found it impossible to estimate distances in this area, because everthing is so big. Behind the village (~1300m), the mountain slope seems to rise forever, up to Mulhacén peak at 3500m.
Looking though my pics, I found this one and worked on it a little (Photoshop: levels, USM, multiply double layer). I'll be visiting Andalucia again in October, more photos to come ... |

Very special and moody shot - and surely not an image I would have quessed was taken in Spain - but ok in such height there must be snow even here - fine image to watch - thanks Oliver for letting us see this.
Schönes Panorama, Oliver, das weiße Dorf und die weßen Gipfel heben sich gut vom Rest der Landschaft ab. Rein vom Bild her würde man nie auf diesen riesigen Höhenunterschied schließen! War auch mal da vor etwa 15 Jahren ...
I like the diagonal graphic in this shot and the strange apearence of this small village. Well done Oli.

The one person at TE that I knew who treks a lot.You know Oliver, seeing the white village and the never ending uphill slope makes me tired. But the scenery, a little strange to me but worth coming to.Looking forward to see what you would be getting trekking through Andalucia. Good Luck Oliver.Be safe and trek well.
