Siesta on the plaza of Bubión, a village in the Sierra Nevada. It's still early spring, the sky is extremely clear on this day and there is only very little green up here (1200m). Bubión is the prototype Alpujarran village, with its beautifully restored houses and clean streets. It is the "middle" village in the Poqueira gorge, between Pampaneira below and Capileira above.

Bonjour Oliver,
Techniquement, un petit chef-d'oeuvre. Maitrise de l'exposition pour ne pas surexposer ces facades blanches bien ensoleillées.
Un super ciel en plus.

Hi Oliver, here you have captured a very good light, in a simple scene, but with beautiful contrasts and shadows, on the wall, by the roof, on the street, by the "winter" trees. The white colour has the perfect light, not burned. I think it is a difficult shot by the dark zones you have to avoid. Very well done. Brgds.

Hi Oliver,
very nice! I like this diagonal compo, the blue is incredible (above all because you can't use any polarizer) and the white of the walls add a sort of gaiety to the image.

Sehr schönes, einfaches Bild! Licht, Farben und Schärfe sind ausgezeichnet und dazu die andalusische Architektur ... great shot!

wow, excellent point of view, but more ironically I find the rich exposure very interesting, because it makes the white color of the buildings look very good and transparent. The sharpness is also excellent, and so are the shadows.

Hi Oliver, I like the formality you have shown us in this image...the straight lines of the Spanish architecture, the clean courtyard and the orderly shape of the sculptured trees.
