| I shot this in the wonderful little villiage of Durcal. I actually took this photo mid-day, in the intense heat leaning against a giant palm in the Plaza de Espana. Durcal is situated in the northwest of the Alpujarras in the Lecrin Valley, 28 kilometres south of Granada and 42 kilometres from the coast at Salobrena. It has an altitude of 800 metres and a population of 5,000. The town has a combination of traditional and modern architecture. |
