[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is Isla Canela, an island connected by a causeway to the Spanish mainland, on the border with Portugal and about an hour and a half away from Seville. Although it's mainly a resort, it isn't over-developed like a lot of the Spanish coast. Just a pretty marina and some nice bars and restaurants, with protected wetlands surrounding it where you can see flamingoes at some times in the year.

Although it's a resort, it's also five minutes walk from the working fishing village of Punta del Moral, hence the stern trawler in the midle ground.

Ten minutes' drive away is the border town of Ayamonte, which is typically Spanish with narrow streets and palm fringed squares.

The day I took this the weather was quite dull, so I've brightened and sharpened it using Picasa, which I've just discovered as a result of comments from Vicky on my last submission. So thanks again, Vicky!

I hope you like it. Feel free to critique, and also visit!

Pauline, thanks for the good note. Maybe the view is not spectecular, like some of the photo's on TE, but that's not always what TE is about. This way, I learn about your corner of the world, and I like very much the tranquility you describe, I see it in the photo.
To make this more spectecular, maybe a photo with eveninglight would make the sky and the light more interesting.

its looking so nostalgic
when have u been taking ?1980 ?
