One day on our trip to Benalmadena we took a cable car ride to the top of the mountain which took a good 5 minutes and afforded some EXCELLENT views of neighboring Fuengirola and Torremilinos.

When you get off the cable car you are treated to a stunning view and you can trek up the mountain to the summit, or view a horse show, ride a donkey or visit the birds of prey.

This shot was taken at a bord of prey exhibition, where a handler showed us all the different types of birds, I had an Eagle land on my head, and he showed us how the birds fed.

This bird, who I am sorry to say I havent been able to identify (any help woudl be great) landed on a branch right next to me and i was extatic to get thsi shot of the bord with wings stretched out. I was doubly pleased that the right wing was eclipsing the sun creating a nice effect.

The sky coudl be a bit more interesting, and I'm not sure if thsi is better suited to TE but if I manage ot make some of my mountani views presentable I think it will show detail about the place I visited.

Comments and criticisms always welcome : )

Hi Mark,
An excellent POV to get this bird in the picture! I like the light, especailly through his feathers. Well done!
Groetjes,
Lars

Great shot Mark, the out streched wings look excellent and the level of detail is superb. Have you ever visited the owl centre at Kirkleatham? There are some beautiful creatures there (I have posted a picture previously) and if you go at the right time you can catch them being excercised.

Cool photo! Taken at the right moment. I guess it is not very easy to catch a bird. Once a went to a tropical zoo, I tried to take photos of the animals, but only I few were good, because they moved the whole time;)

The photo is very sharp. I like the way the light is a falling through the feathers. Maybe a bit light on its head would be nice, but on the other hand, the head is sharp and we can see of its eye and that is very good.

Well done!

I don't know what it is, but an excellent capture, you were able to get so close to get these amazing details. As for Torremolinos and Fuengirola, they are best seen from a distance is all I will say.

A very different shot, Mark; I like mainly the effect of the light on the left wing of the bird (our right...), the diagonal created by its wings, the good contrast with the blue sky, as well as the details we can see on the bird. Well done, I liked it!
