The village of Casares lies in the province of Malaga and has a population of around three thousand people.
The church in the distance was built about 1505 and was in use until 1845, but it was badly damaged in the spanish civil war of 1936-39.I was informed that on a clear day you can see the coast of Africa.

Critiques [Translate]

A wonderful view Malcolm and a town I must visit on my next trip to southern Spain. In this view I like the fact that you foreground, middle distance and background imterest. The red roofs stand out well especially against the lush vegetation of early spring. Another reminder that I should visit while the country is green instead of during the arid look later in the year.

This is beautiful Malcolm; so different from the scenes afforded in the new world. I love the way you managed to capture what appears to be most of the town and surrounding scenery.

This is a beautiful picture with excellent composition and very good colours. The place looks wonderful with all the houses painted in white. Well done.
