Comares
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
| The town of Comares can be seen for miles around as it stands atop a narrow mountain. Even at night the town's lights act as a beacon. Its narrow streets and the steep approach road precludes coaches from visiting and even in the tourist season it does not become too crowded. The town is built around a Moorish castle but can be traced back to the third century BC. The Moorish influence can be seen everywhere. There is a trail leading around the town (tiled footprints in the street) which may be followed to all the main points of interest and viewpoints. Plaques giving the history are found at regular intervals (unfortunately only in Spanish). If staying anywhere near Malage I can thoroughly reccommend an excursion to this interesting and scenic town. |

Vic ..
love the antique town on the high hill ... could do without the cable in the bottom left .. love the way the distant mountains feel so distant because of their diffusion and less color etc.. love the way they almost merge with the distant horizon .. part of me wishes they were darker or more saturated but then I think that would destroy all the positives I just listed .. anyway .. beautiful image and concept.

Vic,
What an outstanding photo. Well composed with the houses in the foreground and on the right with the distant hills and sky on the left and in the background. This really looks like a wonderful place.
TFS,
Rob
I have spent time in Spain and you have done the colors perfect justice. Beautiful whites, sharp detail, nice POV and what you see in the distance in your picture is just what it looks like if you stand there and look at it. Wonderfully done!! TFS, Shelly

Good light and good colors but the composition is a little fuzzy. Good shot anyway.
