The Torre del Oro (Gold Tower) is a century old watchtower XIII, located on the left bank of the Guadalquivir river in Seville.
It was built by the Almohad Caliphate, aiming to avoid possible intrusions by the Guadalquivir River.
Your current designation "Gold Tower" is due to the time of the Old Colonial System when housed arrivals wealth in the fleets came from the East and West Indies.
