Photographer’s Note

Here is another outstanding work of Aníbal González, the architect of Plaza de España. This building, known as the Pabellón Mudéjar, now houses the Museum of Popular Arts and Customs. It was designed and built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition of Seville.

The building is on the northern boundary of the large Plaza de America. This plaza (also known locally as the "park of the pigeons") is situated at the south end of Parque de Maria Luisa. The building's style is neomudéjar, reflecting the deep Moorish influence on the architectural culture of Sevilla.

what a pretty building! :-) nice detailed shot with lovely reflections on the water. as i will be going
