This military watchtower on the banks of the Guadalquivir River was constructed in the 13th century. It served as a prison during the middle ages. It is dodecagonal in shape.

Hello William,

Seems like you had to risk your life in the Spanish traffic to get this point of view, hehehe!
Well not that many cars apparently...
The result is good, it is like the tower is growing out of the lush vegetation!
I like inclusion of the street to create depth in the frame, colours are well reproduced and with fine details...

Hi William,
From the thumbnail, the curve of the road curving into the round tower, and the great clouds and color really attracted me. Upon opening the photo, the cyclist and the beautiful plantings added interest.

The tower is an interesting and fine subject enough but your composition makes the photo really so attractive and complete. First of all the row of bushes with their flowers (oleander) create a fine sense of depth and a useful chromatic contrast with the white tower which, in this way, stands out distinctly from the ground, and the avenue with that red cyclist adds dynamism to the image.
Even the street lamp to the right contributes to gives more depth and last the blue sky with the white clouds really enriches the composition. What I like is a very deep sense of presence and tridimensionality.
Very enjoyable.

Hi William.

Nice idea, but maybe you had time to change the POV (you could avoif that road and the street lamp) and also wait to avoid the people and the car.
However, the whole photo looks interesting.
