Photographer’s Note

Period: Sixteenth century. The convent, due to the special dedication of the Order of St. Augustine's teaching, is divided into three distinct parts: on one hand and church school and housing for the monks around a cloistered courtyard on the other. Although the monastery was founded in the late sixteenth century - the early seventeenth century, the current works of the Church for the next century (XVIII), undergoing major reforms to this end of the fourth quarter. The church has three naves, covering the central barrel vault with transverse ribs and lunettes trim highlighted by gentle curves. The standard highlights the alternating lights arches, crowned with an entablature decorated with a line followed by eggs and pearls, which rests on fluted Corinthian pilasters, attributable, according to several authors, the style of Joseph Martin of Aldehuela.
