An interior courtyard view of the Castle of the Christian Monarchs in Cordoba. (Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos). There is a woman in the centre of the crenellated wall surveying the view. Even better views can be had from the top of the Tower of the Lions in the top left. It dates from the 13th century.

'Alcázar' is originally the name of any Moorish castle, but some were built by Romans, Germanic Visigoths or Christians. Isabella I & Ferdinand II lived here, which was one of their primary dwellings. More info here:
