Zaragoza - Romance under the bridge

Still under the influence of Malgo's pictures of Zaragoza, I decided to show one more from my archive.
On my previous upload you saw the silhouettes of the towers and the dome of the famous Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar.

I took that photo from on the bridge Puente de Piedra that spans the river Ebro.
Here you can see both monuments on one image.

The bridge has been built between 1401 and 1440. In the 17th century a flood destroyed it but it has been reconstructed.

In the evening the banks of the Ebro form a favourite meeting place for young couples. See right lower corner of the image.
