Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer another nice view of the Asturian town of Luarca, with part of the port, an interesting and beautiful village on the Cantabrian coast. I hope you like it, then some letters about the villa.

Luarca (officially and in Asturian Ḷḷuarca) is a parish of the council of Valdés, in the Principality of Asturias and a village of said parish. The parish has a population of 5292 inhabitants (INE 2009) distributed in 5.84 km² and almost entirely in the homonymous village, except for 940 inhabitants who populate the parish places. In this parish is the town of Luarca, capital of the council of Valdés. It is located 92 km from Oviedo, capital of the Principality. Its parochial temple is dedicated to Santa Eulalia.

It is a town on the Way of St. James and has a hostel for pilgrims, located in Almuña, about two kilometers from the town of Luarca. Among the most visited places include the lighthouse and the palace of the Marquis of Ferrera.
