Photographer's Note

My previous photo showed a rough and wild view from La Palma. With this photo I wanted to show you a completely different image of this beautiful island. As mentioned before, La Palma does not have much tourism, with banana plantations being the main industry. This is one of the very few hotels on the island. You may have seen it previously here in the beautiful photos by Luis (adramad). At first, I thought it may be against the rules of TrekEarth to show here photos of a hotel, but I confirmed with moderators it is not. It is La Palma & Teneguia Princess, a hotel I had a pleasure to stay in. I am not going to write too much about the hotel because I don’t want it to sound like an advert, but I wanted to draw your attention to the visual aspect: It has a lot of attractive landscaping with multitude of exotic plants. The numerous pools from some angles may pretend to be so-called infinity pools, stretching visually into the ocean. Here I was also lucky to capture a romantic couple taking a photo.
