Photographer's Note

One more year. The sower is beginning
the seed in the ruts of the ground.
Two slow teams of oxen plough,
meanwhile the ashen clouds happen
darkening the field,
the brown sowings,
the gray olive groves. For the fund
of the vale, the river the cloudy water goes.
(November, 1913)

Rain and the sun. Already it gets dark
the field, already it is illuminated;
there a hill desparece,
there a hill arises. (In April, the waters thousand)

A few strophes of poems of Antonio Machado,

This place is located in the highway that goes of Toro to Salamanca, where the small wavy hills are planted of cereals under these clouds that were auguring a snowfall.
