Photographer’s Note
The main (and only, in fact) entrance to the castle in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote. It looks a bit like for dwarves, don't you think? Well, the castle is also not very big (see WS):))
First constructed in 1574 as a fortification for the harbour at Arrecife, the Castle of Saint Gabriel fell under attack from pirates less than 10 years later and was in fact destroyed by Morato Arraez in 1586. The castle was rebuilt in 1599 and served as a strategic military structure until the 1950s. Now a popular visitor attraction, the castle is home to an exciting archaeological museum.

Hi Malgorzata.
This looks like an old place. And as you say, the door looks very small. Nice and few colours, which I think is typical for old castles. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Fredrik.

Hello Malgorzata,
It's hard to tell the size with no references, but if you say it's small, I trust you. A good craftmanship anyway, and very nice texture of the stones, wood and metal.

Gert

Good morning Margherita.
I like the brillant red wood and this impressive stone round the door. Very well contrasted the dark wall...fine shot...i like too the perspective in WS version.

Hi Malgorzata,
A closed door with a strong lock seem to symbolize an entrance to an undiscovered and secret world. What´s inside? May we ever know? But the textures of the sones and the wood are quite interesting and I can understand your reasons to make this a motive!
Kind regards
Gunnar

Czesc Malgosiu,
Moze to byl zamek dla karlow ;) Mniejszy ma mniej problemow- wiem to po swoim mlodszym (i nizszym) bracie. Ciekawe miejsce a zameczek raczej mi fortece przypomina. Dobre foto!
Pozrawiam,

Hello Malgorzata.
Photo rich in detail, in which the shadow of the arch creates a good depth.
Kind regards.

Hola Malgorzata
LOL you have found the hobbits country !
That being said, here in Appenzell the old houses have ceiling heights between 1m75 and 1m90... Not only is there here a nice door giving warm tones to your image, but a thick looking wall also
Have a nice day JY
