Amid a wave of anti-government demonstrations in Turkey, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been accused of being ‘a dictator’.

Police used tear gas and pepper spray to control crowds in Istanbul and Ankara.

A defiant Erdogan said it was not he, but the protesters themselves who posed a potential threat to democracy, telling supporters in Ankara: “They’ve been removing paving stones and breaking shop windows. Is this democracy?”

“They say Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a dictator. I have nothing to say if they call the person who has committed himself to serving his nation ‘a dictator’,” Ergdogan continued.

Clean up efforts began on Sunday June 2 in Ankara and Istanbul after two days of fierce protesting, in which hundreds of people were arrested...

Keşke bu fotoğrafı "aşkının sözcüklerinde kayboldum aman aman..." gibi bir notla verebilseydin de diktatörlerle kirletmen gerekmeseydi...

elimde bir sürü fotoğraf var, günün anlam ve önemine uyduramadığım için yükleyemiyorum.

A most fascinating shot, Korkut. I've been following events in Turkey closely, and I hope problems are able to resolve to the betterment of the country and without violence.

Wonderful B&W shot from an interesting perspective - I'd like to know more about the shot itself.

Hi Korkut, very strong message here. fantastic black and white shot, I can't imagine how you made it. I would imagine such meeting of EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION FOR CARDIO-THORACIC SURGERY must be boring, but no, you used it well to make striking shots :). I am worried about the events in Turkey, I hope you all guys are safe.
