Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer another view taken from the opposite corner of this paradisiacal beach on the coast of my province. Hope you like it, then a few letters on the beach.

Near the village of Zahara, is an interesting beach and, one might almost say mysterious, bearing the evocative name of Cala of the Germans. Situated between Cape Grace and the Silver Beach around 1500 meters and about 50 meters wide, is a really quiet until highly recommended for visitors who wish to enjoy the tranquility of this area place in summer as is not especially crowded.

Beach of fine golden sand and clear waters, is ideal for both summer and walks calmed by it at other times of year. We can define it as semi-urban, and although close to Zahara urbanization with beautiful houses dotting the hillside that reaches the sea, some luxury villas, no promenade and has a very natural, almost rustic beauty.

There are many hypotheses as to the origin of its name, but we do know for sure pretty things. A popular belief with many overtones of certainty says some Nazi Germans fleeing Allied advance, settled in this stretch of coast after the war, seeking anonymity giving breathes tranquility here. This could be true because in the forties many German tourists settled in this place and when the creek is named after German Beach. How the Germans knew this remote and so far from civilization at that time? In World War II this beach served as a place of surveillance and German supply ships traveling along the strait.

Anyway, the point is that today, in addition to foreign tourists, many Spanish celebrities seeking a deserved hidden break from prying eyes, have made this place around for a place to spend a few days of relaxation and tranquility, enjoying charms are offered to those who accept the invitation to approach here.
