Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer you the detail of a beach paradise off the coast of my province. I hope you like it, then some letters on the beach.

Near the village of Zahara, it is a very interesting beach and, one might almost say mysterious, which bears the evocative name of Cala of the Germans. Located between the capes de Gracia and La Plata, the beach about 1500 meters and about 50 meters wide, it is a really quiet until highly recommended for visitors who wish to enjoy the tranquility of this area place, in summer as It is not especially crowded.

Beach of fine golden sand and crystal clear waters, is ideal for both summer and walks calmed by her in other seasons. We can define it as semi-urban, as although close to Atlanterra urbanization with beautiful houses dotting the mountainside that reaches the sea, some of them luxury villas, no boardwalk and has a very natural, almost wild beauty.

There are many hypotheses as to the origin of its name, but we know for sure pretty things. A popular belief with enough certainty overtones says some Nazi Germans fleeing the Allied advance, settled on this stretch of coast after the war, seeking the anonymity it gives the tranquility that is breathed here. This might be true because in the forties many German tourists settled in this place and when the creek is named after German Beach. How the Germans knew this remote place and so far from civilization at that time? In World War II this beach served as a place of monitoring and provisioning of the German ships that circulated through the strait.

Anyway, the fact is that today, in addition to foreign tourists, many Spanish celebrities seeking a deserved hidden break from prying eyes, have made this place and its surroundings a place to spend a few days of relaxation and tranquility, enjoying the delights that are offered to those who accept the invitation to come here.
