Photographer's Note

400. That's how many pictures I've posted to TrekEarth. I've been on this site nearly 10 years. I lasted through the great exodus of May 2009. I don't post nearly as much as I used to, but I'm still here.

I hope you've seen an evolution and improvement in my photography over the years. Having the right equipment helps, of course, but so does knowing the ins and outs of your equipment and the basics of landscape photography. I have a very, very long way to go still. Lots of improvement still to make. But I'm quite happy with the satisfaction this hobby--and ultimately way of life--has given me thus far.

Thanks to everyone who's been a part of my TE experience--whether you're new here, you predate me, or you left years ago--for the advice, encouragement, criticism, and ideas. This site got me started on photography. I hope I'm still here in another 400 photos.

I was saving this one for just such an occasion. Cordoba's cathedral, La Mezquita, is a lovely spot to spend early blue hour. Here you can see most of the Puente Romano, the Mezquita, and at left the two towers of the Diocese of Cordoba.

I think sunrise is better for actual light on the Mezquita and the Puente Romano, but sunset is better for blue hour here. I don't often hit the same spot for both sunrise and sunset, but for this magnificent view I decided to make an exception.
