[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
On April 26, 2006 transport industry will celebrate 50 years of containerisation.

Can you imagine, that now 90% of all world cargoes are carried in containers? That used to took months (Asia-Europe journey), is made in less than 30 days by vessels bigger than US aircarriers! And, the crew of such begemoths is less than 20 persons!

The photo is taken on board of 'Arthur Maersk', one of the world biggest containerships, while passing Gibraltar strait. Unfortunately, high humidity prevented me from taking pictures of Morocco, but allowed to take this interesting photo.

Well, that is certainly a point of view, that I do not see very often. Looks a bit faint in colours and contrast.

Hi Igor,

This is a very intersting shot. The colours are great and the sky is very pleaseing sue to the haze.

It's a shame your horizon is slightly off, not easy on a moving ship I would expect!

Informative one. I like the picture with sun rise as well.

nice photo.
i like the image in the foreground of the pic.
the scattered and multi-colored boxes makes the pic very interesting.
the soft and subdued colors are nice too.
thx for posting.

Beautiful capture and nice exposure!
I have the impression the containers are floating on the ocean!
Great!

Hi Igor.
Perhaps a bite tilt, but an interesting photo. No doubt.
The composition, the symetry, the light, the colour, the graphism,... and the sea.
Nice idea.

Hello Igor! Yes, it's an interesting picture! I like so much the POV you had choosed, with all this containers forwarding the sunny horizon and something like opening the fog over the calm sea. I'm wondering how nice could be a travel aboard a ship like this, cruising the oceans coast to coast. Very good shot!
All the best!
Zeca

Well done, very good photo.
Good light and capture, the light makes this picture very mysterious!!!

Perfect composition and perspective, beautiful and original light. Best regards! Andrzej

Beautiful light and great atmosphere!!
This is for me the real essence of the sea!
Sometimes, at work, I would like to be in front of a scenery like this instead of my desk...
Congratulations

Federico

It IS an interesting photo! A point of view that not everybody can contemplate, thank you for sharing with us your experience aboard such cargoes. I find them fascinating by their size and the very few human beings on board.
The light is very special and gives a very peaceful atmospher. I really like the way the colors of the containers come out. Great!

Very interesting indeed Igor. Beside it has an adventure mood: It´s not usual to travel in a cargo ship. I dont know why but I like containers and this photo show me a different perspective. Lucky guy! Take care.

Hi Igor! What a wonderful photo, absolutely great light.

Have a nice day,
Jarkko

In almost any picture like this the photographer would get criticized for not having a level horizon. I like the fact that you have the containers level and that you are standing perpendicular to the ship but the ship isn't level! Very cool!
