When I saw your photo I remember that region, near Palencia. Yes, there are lots of places like that and I didn't take a shot that time. You got a fabulous POV and colors, the sky, clouds, church, everything perfect
It is sad little places like this are dieing in many other countries, they are the soul of a country, big towns are ever the same, little ones aren't..

Beautiful...good composition and depth of colour..Did you try another shot with a lower POV (at the expense of a bit of the sky) and a lower focal length in the zoom?

Excellente prise de vue!j'aime la perspective de la route qui part en diagonale sur la gauche de l'image,le contraste et les couleurs sont extraordinaires,le filtre Hoya a bien rempli son rôle.L'église à droite semble bien isolée au milieu des champs.

Voilà une photo qui attire le regard dès le visionnemnent de la vignette et l'aggrandissement ne déçoit pas du tout.
Bien construite avec la route qui guide notre regard au loin,l'église à droite qui équilibre le tout,et des couleurs de rêve,bien précise(sharp)et contrasté.Un ciel au nuages paresseux bien exposé grâce au polarisateur.
Le doré chaleureux des champs est très invitant à faire cet arrêt et de presser sur le déclencheur.

Très belle photo de Castille. Tu as pris bien sa géographie, si plane, si jaune pendant beaucoup de temps de l'anné, et aussi une image trés habituel: une haute église au milieu du rien (ou presque rien, parce que les maisons sont toujours si petites). Tout est beau ici: le ciel, les couleurs, la composition, la perspective... Superbe image, Nikki. Merci bien.

Hi Nikki,
Stunning color!! The blue of the sky is so clear it seems transparent and the contrast with the golden field is wonderful. I like the framing very much; the road to the side allow inclusion of interesting old farm and the wonderful sky with the clouds that seem to float in three dimensions.

I keep hearing stories of abandonned farms in Europe, France, Norway, Spain & Portugal. It seems hard to comprehend with big subdivisions going up in the desert around here. Even in Nova Scotia, the once abandonned farms are being rehabilitated. If I were you, I'd buy one of those farms somewhere.

Jolie comme tu as amené cette route dans l'image.....au milieu de côté très "campagne"
Le ciel au pola donne son effet et les nuages ressortent superbement bien sur ce bleu.

Very good, Nikki! The image is fantastically composed and it is so nice that the road leads to nowhere and the church is set aside. This gives a fantastic feeling of being on the road. 500 km behind, 500 ahead...

I don't comment on the colours and light, they are wonderful!

Une vision qui reflète bien la chaleur qui régnait dans ce coin d'Espagne. Les couleurs sont suoer saturées grâce au polrisant utilisé. J'aime beaucoup la couleur dorée des champs qui contraste admiralement bien avec le ciel.

Beautiful compo and textures. I like the depth portrayed by the road. Nice details of the church, typical Spanish design and color. But I'd like the frame to be slightly wider, I felt the road being cut off bit too much. Overall this is excellent.

L’église de cette scène profite d’un décor magnifique et c’est une bonne idée de nous la présenter dans son contexte avec ce grand angle. Les couleurs sont vraiment superbes et se marient entre elles à merveille. La ligne d’horizon est bien située puisque ce ciel fort intéressant méritait une large place dans cette image.

Both the composition and exposure are superb!

I like very much the contrasting and vibrant colors and the light. Even using a CP filter you got a sky that is perfect, with beautiful clouds.

Beautiful shot, Nikki. The colors are so vivid. What's interesting is that I almost forget to look at the castle and instead look at the crops, the line on the road, and the clouds in the sky. A very rich shot!

It's probably all been said above, Nikki - Such a lovely and lively image, fabulous strong colours, good perspective and balance. You can feel the heat shimmering off the crops and the road. Sad to read of the state of the village - happening everywhere and it's such a loss.

I love the well-saturated colours; in part due to the polariser. You Pov not only uses the road as lead-in but our eye is also transported forwards by the lines in the crops. From this distance the village looks "whole". Worth getting out of the air-conditioning for.

Une photo à couper le souffle, Nikki !
J'aime ces couleurs qui claquent en s'opposant, la route qui semble éviter le village mort et enfin le village qui commence à devenir une ombre, l'ombre de ce qu'il était et tout ça sous un ciel de cinémascope. Merveilleux !

Vengo de ver la foto de Toni, y las mismas palabras podría repetir en las tuyas. La carretera le da un toque especial, aunque no me sorprende pensar cuantos jóvenes de ese pueblo se fueron por esa carretera para nunca volver. Es una foto magnífica, sin duda.

Salut Nikki, comme elle claque cette photo ! Une nouvelle fois on retrouve bien ta griffe, c'est à dire de forts contrastes, haute saturation et grande netteté ... effet vu au travers de lunettes de soleil que j'aime beaucoup, c'est très réussi .. Alors quand en plus tu rajoutes une belle perspective avec cette route qui mène je ne sais ou, ça donne une sacrée belle photo

Me encanta esta foto "viajera" , el frenesi del viaje , los paisajes , el calor , los espacios que descubres, las paradas . Tuve mucha curiosidad por este tipo de provincias un poco abandonadas o preteridas pero con tantas cosas que ofrecer paisajistica y culturalmente (Castilla Leon es una potencia cultural pero su extension es mas grande que la de Hungria)

Me gusta la perfecta definicion , los colores, la sensacion de quietud y paz en un lugar en el mundo casi romanticamente abandonado . Muy muy bonita Nikki

he visto esta foto en tu intro y me ha gustado inmediatamente. Los colores del campo castellano en verano, de tonos dorados, la iglesia a un lado del cuadro, el cielo fantástico y muy bien polarizado, y la carretera en diagonal que da una gran perspectiva, funcionan con mucho efecto gráfico y forman una composición excelente y muy elegante.
Gran foto, con una gran luz y colores perfectos.

That´s a wonderfull picture with beautifull well saturated colors making a good contarst to each other and excellent light.I like the road leading into the picture and the depth,that emerges through it.You chose a fantastic point of view and you gave the clouds and the building on the right a magnificent positioning!The sharpness couldn´t be better and the depth of field is also very good.
In my eyes,there´s nothing to improve here!

Je voulais venir visiter ta galerie mais il y avait cette photo en présentation. Impossible d'aller plus loin! Je dois m'arrêter!
Moi qui adore les paysages du centre de l'Espagne, je crois qu'il y a tout ce que j'aime: la longue route droite, ce que j'appelle le road moovie de la Meseta, l'or des champs de blé, une église, quelques cumulus qui éclateront peut-être avec l'orage de l'après-midi, la chaleur...je la sens!
Bravo, c'est magnifique. Tu as probablement fait un post traitement pour la couleur car souvent c'est plus brumeux sauf si les photos sont faites très tôt le matin, mais si c'est le cas, je te félicite encore, car les couleurs sont merveilleuses.

Beautiful composition with lovely vivid colours, the blues and yellows are awesome here. Excellent cloud formations with the buildings to the right providing a nice balance to the scene. I love the road splitting the fields in two.
Sorry about deleting the photo, I wasn't happy with the blue sky-it lost some saturation and will put it back on shortly.
