Almudena Cathedral

Yesterday, Pope Benedict XVI removed restrictions on celebrating the old Latin Mass, reviving a rite that was all but swept away by the liberalizing reforms of the Second Vatican Council.

In Quebec, this reform will do nothing but decrease the number of the already few religious followers. Since the Quiet Revolution of the 1960’s, catholicism is in constant decline and a lot of churches are transformed into condos...

Beautiful Papagolfade to sale, with a great view on the Saint-Lawrence river, bright, spacious and very quiet > 7 rooms + 2 bathrooms. Previously owned by only one landLord.

Salut André,
C'est centré, mais ça fonctionne très bien.
J'aime beaucoup le très bon contraste avec ces ombres qui donnent un relief très plaisant.

Un titre rigolo et bien adapté au fait que Benoît aime le latin, et aussi au fait de publier une eglise le Dimanche! d;-)
Le monument se detache bien dans cette lumiere 'divine' contre un nuage bien placé(par Dieu lui meme?)

Tu as saisi une superbe lumière sur cette papagolfade.

L'annonce et la photo qui la complète me semble très intéresssante où doit-on s'adresser pour la transaction?
Une très belle lumière bien saisie, la symétrie fonctionne bien avec ce ciel chargé derrière.

Hi Andre,
This time the shutter is fast enough, and no need to consider abour an "Andreoid" :P
You have found a good place to capture this part of the building, and a nice time of a rainy day where the clouds are so close to earth. Sunlight crawls on the stone walls, and gives warmth and contrast to the BG. Sharpness is top notch. I won't ask what hapened to the bottom of the building :)

Le titre m'a fait bien rire et c'est pour cela que j'ai ouvert. La note est également sympa.
Et enfin (but not least), cette lumière d'or est somptueuse et magnifie ce batiment. Quant au centrage, j'hésite un peu. Décentré ou symétrie, that's the question !!

J'ai du mal à croire que ce superbe édifice religieux puisse être transformé en appartements.

C'est dimanche et c'est le jour des Papagolfades, ici bien mis en valeur avec la lumière qui habille joliment l'édifice et contraste parfaitement avec le gros nuage. Amen :)

Only 2 bathrooms, is there a chance i can make some more, let's say for every room a seperate bathroom? If yes, than i might be interested ;-)

je vois que tu es tres inspire par l'actualite du Bavarois le plus retrograde que le Vatican ait jamais connu, qui a fait tout a l'envers alors qu'il fallait au contraire decider de dire la mese en language SMS pour la reduire a 5 minutes et compenser ainsi le manque de cures... "me bien $ frer, e me vou lezun lezotre amen" ;-)
Sinon la lumiere est tres agreable sur ce haut de papagolfade, pourquio as tu cadre si haut tu voulais epargner a nos yeux un collection de Seat ?

J'adore ton titre. La lumière est magnifique ici surtout avec la bande de nuages menaçants juste derrière. Effectivement, tout peut devenir appartement. Il semble que l'hôpital (maternité) où ma mère travaillait va aussi passer par là avec des penthouse d'une valeur de A$15 million. C'est halucinant.

The lighting is very colorful and dramatic and the Cathedral is a fantastic work of architecture. It looks like you took this photo just minutes before the Sun went down right after a late afternoon storm. I won't add anything to your comments about the Church. I had better avoid this issue. Gorgeous image!

Voici un joli détail architectural. La lumière qui éclairé le bâtiment est celle que l'on rêve a chaque fois qu'une sortie photo est programme et ces nuages foncés en toile de fond sont le décor idéal.
Simple et superbe.
Je me rejouis de te rencontrer par chez nous, j'en suis sur que tu vas aimer ce pays ;-)

Un vue superbe sur cete cathedral autrement banale car je trouve incroyable que a Madrid ils ne sont que ca come cathedrale.
Le pdv est superbe ainsi que la facon dont tu l'as isole avec cete belle lumiere.
Cest ton apartament que tu vends, ou il ya une eglise en vente a cote de chez toi?
