Très bon ce grand jeu de lumière, ombre qui forment de différentes figures géométriques. Je pense que je m'étais été posté dans des couleurs, ces détails graphiques ne serais pas aussi présent. Noire et blanc ce a été un bon choix. Amitiés, Consuelo.
PS. J'attends voir les photos de l'oeuvre de Niemeyer, là, en France.

Hi Diane,
a cubistic painting, the black sky is marvellous. Lots of good proportions to be found in it, for me the best one is the width of the bright wall at the left compared to the width of the one in the upper right, both framing the house nicely and giving depth to it all.

Hi Diane, I noticed we use similar camera and lens, so very interested in your fine result. You used ISO 100 against my usual 800, so i will try changing to lower ISO as i like your result. Good diagonals make this special. TFS. Murray.

Diane- its a graphic treat. wonderful play of lines, light and shadows. B&W was a gr8 choice- I can see different shades- from pitch black sky to grayish shadows and from stunning white to calmer white. Gr8 work...

Bonjour Diane,

Ce qu'il y a de plus important, en noir et blanc, c'est l'exacte exposition d'une photo. Il faut des nuances de gris très bien étagées... Après avoir longtemps tâté du "zone system" d'Ansel Adams, il faut bien dire que contrôler un histogramme n'est pas spécialement difficile. Dans toute cette forte lumière, tu t'es très bien débrouillé pour nous rendre toutes les nuances sans cramer les blancs.
Après, il fallait encore trouver un beau cadrage.... Et c'est très réussi! J'aime bien les ombres de la lessive suspendue sur les murs.

Je ne suis pas un spécialiste du N&B mais je pense que tu as bien travaillé le contraste de cette image et j'apprécie les valeurs de gris dans la partie centrale de la composition.

hello Diane,
love this elegant photo. you're right, B&W certainly enhances the appeal of the shot, the collection of lines, patterns, angles and textures is simply hypnotic. my favourite element is the shadpw of the linens hanging on the rope, I can almost feel the light breeze that shifts them and the warm sun that dries them :) excellent work, my compliments.
