Photographer’s Note

This is the church at Tjolöholm. It was built by initiative of Blanche Dickson during 1903-1904. The architect was Hans Hedlund.

It is quite easy to see the British influence. The Dickson family originated in Scotland. Two brothers, Robert and James, moved to Gothenburg at the beginning of the 19th century. They created a fortune from exporting wood and iron from Sweden.
