Photographer’s Note
This is the Gothenburg synagogue. It was inaugurated in 1855 and design by master-builder August Krüger. It was one of the few Jewish religious buildings in Europe to remain unscathed after the Second World War.
Of course, this is a veryical flip of the reflection in the moat surrounding central Gothenburg. I couldn´t avoid this picture although I have used this technique before, like here and here. But this was quite irresistable.
After this upload, I will be away on holiday for some weeks, but I´ll be back!

Bonjour Gunnar,
il y a de l'idée et de l'imagination là derrière et j'aime beaucoup. La vignette n'était pas encourageante, mais la photo est de qualité.
Bravo.
Daniel.

Hello Gunnar,
What a shock when I opened your thumbnail - surely not camera shake!!
A wonderful reflection! Nicely positioned in the frame and saying so much about the sunniness of the day!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Good morning Gunnar!
You are an artist with the camera! What an interesting and fascinating photo! Like a paiting of an expressionist. The wonderful light here helped you to catch this wonderful effect of mirroring. Hats off!
A most worth-seeing picture!
Greetings from a grey and very wet Siegen!

Hej Gunnar,
A good trick can be used many times. The tiny ripples certainly give the impression of a peculiar painting technique. The colours also get a special quality when mirrored in the water.
I hope you have a fine holiday.

Hello Gunnar,
This is another of your very fine reflection shots, possibly the best yet.
Lovely soft colours, enough of a ripple to stir the surface and yet leave fascinating detail in the image.
Enjoy your holiday - I hope the weather is kind to you - I look forward to seeing a whole new lot of pictures on your return.
Kind regards,
Peter.

Hello Gunnar,
The reflection in the shimmering waters of the moat make for a lovely composition; very painterly as your title implies. Lovely warm/cool tonal contrasts. Very well observed and presented. Bon voyage, a bientot.

Hello Gunnar,
This image really looks like a painting in water-colors. Such a technique has allowed you underlining the general features of the architecture and prevailing color scheme, when some insufficient details are avoided. Very good idea and its realization! Great job!

Hello Gunnar,
as a painter I appreciate this photo which surely looks more like a picture painted with oil on canvas :) I always welcome ideas of taking photos of reflections! sometimes they turn out to be unusually interesting :)
I also like the combination of two domineering colours: yellowish-ocherous and bluish-grey.
I wish you a very good holiday and, of course, find weather and sunny days!
I'll be looking forward to new photos :)
Kind regards,
Elena

Bonjour Gunnar
Cette photo fait en effet une belle aquarelle. J'aime les mille reflets de lumière sur l'eau qui font comme autant de coups de pinceau.
Amical salut !

Even from the thumbnail, the slight haziness made me wonder if this was an inverted reflection. The result resembles a Monet painting, although he probably went nowhere near Sweden, back in the 19th/early 20th centuries. :D
Excellent and creative shot helped by good light.

An excellent 'painted' shot. It looks more like an exercise in 'pointillisme', but it is superb. The colors are really fabaulous.

Hej Gunnar,
A wonderful reflection picture. I guess it might be difficult to find relections of building like this in Gothenburg even though it is a city by the sea. You have painted a perfect acquarelle with your camera. TFS and have a nice evening!

Truly an acquarello! Unbelievable!
The effect is stunning and finer than perhaps the real building. You couldn't choose a better way to photograph it. The illusion is perfect!
I love the light and the warm soft colours.
