Photographer’s Note

This little gem was found at Salsåker a former industry.
Today since long time forgotten and overgrown cause of the land uplift.

At the High Coast during the latest glaciation the earth's crust was depressed substantially and thereafter the world's greatest land uplift began when the crust, relieved of the pressure of the ice, began rising. The land uplift and the sea's effect have formed, and continue to form, the countryside and shoreline. No where else in the world is it possible to see, clearly and concentrated, the effects of the on-going land uplift process.

Hej Anders,
There's an incredibly peaceful and quiet atmosphere in this picture (in spite of the ongoing land uplift) with the mirror-like water. The boat is nicely shot from a diagonal angle and the reflections of the clouds and trees are very enjoyable.

Hello again, Anders!
What a beauty! The luminosity, the stillness of the scene, the wonderful bit of sunlight on the window of th boat, the reflection! Fantastic shot, really. I can't believe how still that lake is, more like a mirror than anything I have ever seen. Even more hard to believe that this is an area of continuing land movement. Great work.

Fantastic calm water and an exquisit picture of the Nordic summer night! The light on the boat is very good and the mood here is almost magic! Good for us that the Weichselian glaciation finally came to an end, even if the effects are still noticable.

This seems like a fine well kept vessel, great for spending bright summer nights on the water..!
You capture the light reflecting in the boat so nicely, adding a warm inviting feeling to the scene...
Well composed but above all excellent conveyance of the special atmosphere!
