Photographer’s Note
This chapel was built 1665 since praest Nils Bozaeus the year 1654 had made a law that the fishermen using the water for fishing should build this chapell. This was made by the villagers in Barsta, the upland fishers and the fishermen from Gävle. Altough they had no intrest in this building, the finally had to give in due to a menace of not being allowed to use the harbour or fishingwaters.
There's some interior details in the Workshop

Hello Anders,
Not the typical church structure but very interesting. Your placement of the subject is very effective as it allow for space to show the surroundings. The view is a bit sad because of the dark sky but at the same time the clouds create a nice dramatic mood. This look like a good place to enjoy photography. Thanks Anders.

Hello again Anders.
I like the viewpoint of this one, showing the houses behind this chapel and on the other side of the water. There's a nice view down the little path on the left. The richly coloured timber of the chapel is nicely patterned. It looks well preserved. You have just enough detail in the sky; a good thing it is not all white!

Andrew

Hej Anders,
As usual you manage to get these vere good and saturated colours here. The balance of this photo is also very good.

Hej Anders,
Peculiar building with an interesting story. There are religious fundamentalists everywhere. It's nice to get a glimpse of the view behind the church.
Trevlig helg, hälsar

Hej Anders,
This is truky an odd church. If it wasnt for the entrance door and the bell tower it could have been any barn. The door is a masterpice in beautifullness.
Hoping for better weather since its weekend, any snow in Södermanland?
