Photographer’s Note

Did you know that Swedish Lapland has the last remaining expanse of wilderness in northern Europe, including sea, coastline, forests, mountains and unspoiled rivers? We have eight distinct seasons here, since spring, summer, autumn and winter each have their own "pre-season".
Thanks to the Gulf Stream the climate is good to people, animals and nature, with warm, sun-drenched summers and snowy winters when the air is cold but dry.

We have a well-developed infrastructure for transport and accommodation, and we exploit our natural resources in our own special way. Ice and snow are transformed into a hotel, nature's raw ingredients become mouth-watering taste sensations and the silence soothes jaded ears.

In Swedish Lapland there are plenty of the things that are in scarce supply elsewhere: time, space, tranquillity, silence, clean air, clean water, snow, the midnight sun and the northern lights. Come here and discover it for yourself - there's enough space for you too!

Hej Andrey,
The lake looks bluer than the Mediterranean, but probably much colder... Beautiful colours, especially the foreground. The clearcutting here looks like there could be lingonberries, did you look for it?

The colors are great and the note reads like a tourist brochure. I was on the Norwegian side of the border last year and I must admit that what struck me most was the silence when you gotout of your car. I didn't have the colors since it was may. Have to go back I think.

very beautiful, colourful, tranquil landscape which looks so inviting and elaxing! I have not seen Lappland with my own eyes yet but maybe one day I will see. So far I have not been farther to the North than Dalarna.

The wilderness really shows here, but the beautiful colours in front make the image alive and very colourful and makes it extra beautiful. Composition is also not bad at all, deep blue of the water that lingers from right to left through the whole picture....really good pov you had here.

I'd never gone to Lapland , but I think that it is a very typical landscape of this ^place . Very nice composition and fine colors . The blue of the water is outstanding .
