The first thing that strikes you about Swedish Lapland is the silence. At times it can be deafening. But with the silence comes an inner calm that opens your senses to all the tiny nuances that nature offers free of charge. Such as the crunch of your footsteps on virgin snow, or a lively mountain stream in spring.
