Photographer’s Note
This is a view of Riddarholmskyrkan (the Riddarholmen Church) which is the burial church of the Swedish monarchs and is located on the island of Riddarholmen, close to the Royal Palace.
As far as I know, on TE there are no panoramic photos of this church taken from this POV.
So I decided to post a photo from this - I should say, "classical" - point of view..
This is a stitch of 9 photos.
The photo was taken in the evening at 8.53 PM.
I hesitated a bit whether to crop or not to crop the right part with the wall (maybe you have another opinion?).
Anyway I deliberately included the wall in the composition to better show the perspective opening before the eyes of those who come up to the church by this path.
I also should note another photo of this church (taken by Ulf) which deserves attention.

I seem to be the first one today. I like the shot. It is clear, the colors are naturaland not oversaturated and there is no trace of a stitch at all! You did a great job there. Including the wall at the right is a matter of taste. I think I would have included it as well under the circumtances.

Hi Elena
classic, and well done, the light is good, also the perspective well corrected.
Always the question if the right wall should be or not in the framing?
well done!

Hello Elena
A very good stitching job and the first I have noticed you posting. It certainly has a wide angle feel about it. The pov is great - as is the lighting. Tfs, Marlene

Hi Elena,
you have chosen a fantastic POV on this interesting building and I also like the framing by the building on the right side. But it is this amazing light of the Scandinavian Summer evening that creates this wonderful atmosphere that makes the image very attractive. A great capture and excellent photo work!
Warm regards

Hi Elena,
A very fine scenery indeed. When I first looked at this picture I had the impression of something about the perspective. The I read your note and realised that this is a stitch, so then I understood. I don´t know how far away you were, when you took this picture, but there is some funny kind of distortion of these buildings. But don´t misunderstand me, this is a great panorama really, very beautiful buildings and certainly very good colours. Judging from Ulf´s picture, this must be a very high church.
Kind regards
Gunnar

dear Elena,
this wide view(18mm) is very nice to express this space,
the whole figure of church is splendidly captured,
and the sharpness of towers is excellent in it.
the air looks clear and the sky is high.
lighted portion is well contrasted with other portion in the shadow.
it is so cool, in spite of July, the summer in Sweden looks comfortable.
(warping caused by lens is interesting)
thank you for your wonderful shot,
Akihisa

Hello Elena,
This image is of a purity and a rare limpidity. I adore this framing supported by the depth of the place, and the twinge of the bell-towers towards a luminous sky. It is a superb image, clear, lit well, perfectly carried out, pleasant to look at. Congratulations.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.

Hello Elena,
A very nice picture, luminosity, colors, definition. The impression is very quiet, mainly nobody.
In term of slitching you also did a good job, no trace of the juctions even with 9 picture that's great.
My only concern is the problem of perspective the church seems a little bit too narrow. But I don't see how to correct it, I've try several things without any success. when I get the church OK the buldings on botth side are very "fat". I had also the same problem I think its come from the distortion of the 18 mm that shoud be corrected on each picture but it is only a personal idea and I've never try it.
If some one get an idea he will be welcome.
Best regards from Jean-Pierre

Hello Elena,
I like this clean and elegant composition!
The light is eminent, emphasising the the church tower and dome...
Well chosen point of view, a balanced composition with sharp fine details!

Hi Elena,
I have seen this picture for some time now. I have have had the intention to comment it. This is place that is very well-known and I have passed it many, many times. It is an excellent stiching work indeed and the composition, colours and light are excellent. Even if the buildings and the church are a bit distorted and look a bit low you feel that this is the way it looks like here. An excellent photo-job. TFS and have a nice Sunday!
Warm regards,
Ulf

Hi Elana
I too have this in my Gallery - my gallery on my laptop, but like you say, not in a way that you display it. You display this beautifully. As for the wall to the right, i'm very glad you decided to keep it in. The wall brackets, and frames the subject, and more importantly, it provides depth to the scenery.
You're lucky to have nobody in your shot! when i was there it was teaming with people!
Gamla Stan is a lovely place for photographers.
Thank you
Cheers
Craig
