Photographer’s Note

After the long absence I was quite puzzled by the thought which photo to post next... and finally I decided to post a sunny summer snapshot :)
It was a hot and extremely sunny day!

On the left: the Royal Palace.
In the background: statue of the King Gustaf (Gustav) III.

Gustav III of Sweden (1746-92) is one of the least studied of the later eighteenth-century rulers known as the "Enlightened Despots".

Hello Elena,

would like to have these sunny days back in nowadays reality, still cold here in our region..
pretty daily-life-capture with almost fine colors and mood, perhaps i would cropped a little bit of the fine, but empty blue sky, to reach a more square-format here..

Hi Elena. Wandering with a camera we discovered this and that everyday motif. Especially when traveling abroad, we consider the new environment attention than usual - we photographed with the camera like a notepad and stick impressions. Welcome back with this nice photo from Stockholm with a nice sunny summer mood. It's totally different what we have now, sleet, rain and snow, all in turn. Good natural colours and clarity of details. A good title and note too. TFS!

Elena,
This is a nicely composed shot with the people reading the sign in the foreground and the statue dominating the center of the composition. The light post provides balance for the statue. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness.

Hello Elena,
I was astonished by your long silence. It is well to return to see us. You chose an estival image which heats us a little, even if it does not make yet cold in Montpellier. Pretty framing of these tourists who seem impassioned by their reading. I appreciate the luminosity of the photograph, his colors and his clearness. Good framing which included aspects of the daily life. Cheer.

Hej Elena,
A pleasant view from a much nicer part of the year. A well composed glimpse from a day in the life of a tourist couple, preparing themselves for the sights around them by reading the information-sign. There are enough people to inject life among the dead "elements", but still surprisingly few, considering that this is just about the most touristic part of Stockholm. Maybe it was just too hot.

Hi Elena,
A very typical "daily life" scene! Those tourists are spending their time reading this probably very informative note. This is what my wife always does... Myself, I just take a photo of the sign so I can read it later, then I walk around taking a lot of pictures instead!

What is another fine shot!
Perfect and bold framework/composition and sharp focusing in the detail are excellent as usual! The big proportion of the sky is your intentional message, I suppose. Good sunny summer photo for cold season. Anyway congratulation on your masterpiece!

Hi Elena,
Nice to have you back. I like your daily live scene from Stockholm. It is well framed and full of light. Makes a nice contrast with the dark daylight we have here in Luxemburg. The last time I saw the sun was saturday a week ago!!!
Thank you for answering my note after a couple of weeks of silence, that was nice. Thank you also for making me curious so that I had to look up and read your story in the answers to other members :-). You did well to avoid to write the story an n+1 time and sparing your fingers for pushing the shutter for an other photo.
We have a dog and sometimes two. Cats, unfortunately, are out since one of my sons is allergic to cats.
I wish you a nice and quiet weekend.

Hello Elena, I often have the problem, what to post next, I'm always looking for something a little different, I have many what I consider good average fotos but very few good fotos. It looks to like these people are dressed for the Melbourne weather we are now having. Nice relaxed scene, with a beautiful blue sky, all over natural colours & excellent clarity.

your shot looks suggesting one joke, that sightseeing people often waste time to read the note about the object more than to see actual object...
anyway, this summer blue sky is nice,
