Photographer’s Note
Storkyrkobrinken (The Great Church Slope) is a street in the Old Town of Stockholm. The street has been here since medieval times and it has got it name from Storkyrkan (The Great Church)) that you also could see in this photo. The church is also called Sankt Nikolai kyrka (Saint Nicolaus Church) and in the 15th century Storkyrkobrinken was called the Sancte Nicolauese port ("Gate of Saint Nicholas") During the years the street has got different names but in 1650 it appears as Store kyrke brincken. The restaurant Cattelin has been there since 1922 but the building that houses the restaurant is about 400 years old

Hej Ulf,
Fine contrast between slightly overexposed curch in the bacvkground and the slightly underexposed restaurant in the foreground. In fact, that bright red sign is a perfect balance for this well composed picture. I had dinner once at Cattelin, in 1966, when I did my military service in Stockholm. In those days, this place had quite a reputation as a fish restaurant and was quite expensive. Today there are too many places to choose between.

Good morning Ulf,
nice the view of the bell tower that outlined against the sky.The red sign of the restaurant is the point that the eye start, to lead to the bell tower and and with its brightness steal some of the force of your main theme.
Have a nice week,Danos

Hej Ulf,
There are two very different eye-catchers in this picture: the reastaurant-sign and the church-tower. I am impressed that you managed to get the sun-lit tower and the shaded wall of the nearest house both so well exposed.
I like your composition. which most amateurs probably wouldn't think of. But maybe you're a professional?

Hello Ulf,
I know these narrow streets, not easy to capture perfect pictures. But you had done it, I lkie this contrast between the sign and the church. Well done.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Ulf,
I like the composition, with the distinct and eye-catching sign!
For some reason I came to think of Ulf Lundells escapades in Stockholm 30-40 years ago hehehe...
Creative framing of the church, good DoF to cover the frame!
Greetings,
Pablo -
