Photographer’s Note

Storkyrkobrinken (The Great Church Slope) is a street in the Old Town of Stockholm. The street has been here since medieval times and it has got it name from Storkyrkan (The Great Church)) that you also could see in this photo. The church is also called Sankt Nikolai kyrka (Saint Nicolaus Church) and in the 15th century Storkyrkobrinken was called the Sancte Nicolauese port ("Gate of Saint Nicholas") During the years the street has got different names but in 1650 it appears as Store kyrke brincken. The restaurant Cattelin has been there since 1922 but the building that houses the restaurant is about 400 years old
