Photographer’s Note
Taken at Slussen.
In exactly half an hour it will rain. But nobody knows about it yet. People are walking, eating in restaurants and cafes, going home from work, tourists are exploring the surroundings...
It's always nice to see a city which is filled with sunshine and bright colours.
Would you be able to enjoy a city of very few monotonous colours, especially when it is about to rain?..

Hello Elena,
If there is anything this picture is not, it's monotonous. I see virtually every colour available, although soft and muted because of the grey sky, but still beautiful. I love this view, and in less than an hour I will cross that street on my way to my office.
Greetings from Södermalm,
Gert

Hej Elena,
A fine photo from historical ground of Stockholm. I have been told that the comercial sign with the tooth paste up to the right is the oldest light comercial in town that had moving lights. I belive it just concists of just ordinary light bulbs and not neon. You can search on Stomatol.

dear Elena,
red buses are very vivid in this gray space,
of course, we can see patches of blue, green, yellow and orange,,, but in this unique composition made of upper wide gray sky, lower wide gray road, and central gray buildings, we are surprised by red buses.
maybe the red activates the hearts of people in this northern country, even the rain and snow comes there after thick gray cloud.
anyway, interestingly planed city, and well captured picture by your nice POV,
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Elena.
Just when I am reading yet another Sjowall and Wahloo novel, I can count on a Stockholm shot from your camera! I don't know if you have read those books - they are set in Stockholm in the 1960s.
Anyway, yours is a good photo with a strong perspective and good note - actually the first paragraph could be from one of those novels! I like that peculiar structure that sticks up into the sky, and shows the time. The red buses and the apartment blocks add some colour to this picture.
Regards,
Andrew

Bonjour Elena
très belle vue sur une partie de la ville de Stokholm dans un ciel gris, ce ciel qui semble avoir été présent toute l'été partout sur la planète.

Hello Elena
I think that a city that has monotonous colours, mainly when it is rain is very sad.
My city is very colorful, houses and buildings, and it has a lot of green. Because this it is called "Green City".
This picture is nice with these colorful buildings . Excellent depth and sharpness.

Hi, Elena!
Stockholm is beautiful as always on your shots. Red buses and orange houses bring supplementary charm to grey atmosphere before rain. It is very sensible shot.
Good luck.

Hej Elena,
we have at least one thing in common, we both like Stockholm very much. Therefore, I would say: I like Stockholm in all types of weather (well..almost all weather :)) Excellent Pov and natural colours as usual
Bästa hälsningar.

Hello Elena
Stockholm is certainly a colourful and lively city as is shown in all your photos - but especially this one. The tower to the left is very strange and was this photo taken at almost 9pm? You mention people coming home from work and so I am curious? How I wish we could have such long evenings. Tfs, Marlene

Hello Elena,
This is a well framed city scene, good details!
In particular the architecture of Gondolen catches the eye...
Good lead-in by the street, the older and colourful houses in the back stand out!
Greetings,

Hello Elena,
A good photo showing a place in Stockholm, which I know
very well. Your photo has a good composition and perspective. In spite of a cloudy weather, it is colourful and with good clarity. Yes, there it is, Katarinahissen, shot from a good POV! I still do not have a decent photo of it myself. ;-) Thanks for sharing!
Warmest regards,
Lasse

Добрый день, Елена,
Хорошая композиция.Несмотря на серое небо, серый асфальт и серые дома, глазу есть за что зацепиться.
Удачного дня! Иду пить кофе. Ибо сил уже нет :)))

Hello Elena,
Even with an unfavourable weather, a good photographer can make very good photographs, which you show easily. The urban composition is spectacular. Framing gives depth to this vibrating and coloured scene. Good clearness, and high note. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Hi Elena,
Good capture of Katarina Hissen here, that is the main attraction for me in this photo.
The Slussen traffic system is said to be in desperate need of maintenance since many years or even to be replaced because it's in a too bad condition already still I don't see anything of it.
Good daily life shot here and it hasn't changed anything since 2004 or even 1998.
Have a nice weekend,
Harko

Добрый день Елена!
I like this casual view of the city, with the ugly buildings mixed with the beautiful ones, the transit etc.
From my experience in Sweden, the title could be "the half hour when it didn't rain"! :-)
До свидания!
Привет из теплой и солнечной Португалии.

Hello Elena,
Very good use of the gran-angle and I like much the dynamics of this photograph. Many interesting architectural details in particular this metal structure on the left with the clock which gives a depth to the image and this whole of buildings coloured in background. Photograph pleasant to look at, well done Elena.
With all my friendships and a very good day,
Jean-Charles

Hi Elena,
Although a grey day, you have managed to catch many different shades of grey in the sky here. There are also a lot of other colours here and I like the line along the buses to the right up to the "Katarina" lift.
Kind regards
Gunnar
