Photographer's Note
Back from Stockholm, I am interrupting my Turkey entries, and sending a picture taken at Stockholm, in Skansen, where old crafts are perfomed daily. He was a master poster , and took an immense pleasure in shaping objects. The light was a natural one, coming in from a window, but I used a 81a warming filter. The camera was handheld with a slightly higher ISO.

Dear Master,
Marvelous light, great picture. Warming filter gives very soft effect. Excellent texture on the woods too. I think there is some sieve which are we know well. Congratulations,
Best Regards,

Great to see a first impression from your Sweden trip, Izzet - the soft natural light and its graduating intensity is lovely in this one. A fine contextual portrait of this man at work, that does a good job of showing him focused at this craft, and as well gives a good impressions of the surroundings in his workshop.
I notice that the EXIF data in the 'more photo info' popup window say "Light source: Cloudy weather". Was that an intentional way in which you set the white balance before shooting this one (I never thought of trying this for an interior shot of this type)?

Something about the colours and the focus that makes this whole image seem delicate...like the pottery or other crafts this man is making. It is truly a wonderfully executed photo
Cheers

Hi Izzet.
Excellent composition and also you managed very well the light: the soft colours and the soft light create a very good atmosphere.
Simply, a great daily life.

Izzet nice work in recording this potter in his field of expertise. I like the lighting because without any flash the details have a more realistic appeal to them. Thanks for sharing!

superbe ce portrait en situation.
La lumière dans cet atelier est magnifique.
J'aime bien tous les objets que l'on peut voir et la concentration de l'homme est palpable.

Hello Ijjet,
Very nice one. I like the overall colour tone in the picture. The crafts he is making and the t-shirt he is wearing are of the same colour. This, to me, is adding to your composition. Perfect light too and a great determination in his face, well captured.
Regards,
Sayan

Man, I felled in love with this photo of yours.
Man, I fell in love with this photo of yours.
Basicaly monochromaric colors (due to conditions you've just described), it represents for me such a variety of rich shades, and lights, and gentle steeping towards darks.
This is combination of Flemish paintings with 'Pinocchio's
old Gepetto character (or is it my weird imagination?).
Absolut gem of interior photography.

Bonjour Izzet,
