Photographer's Note

Sledge dogs, waiting to depart (I guess) to the Kebnekaise, the highest mountain of Sweden.

There´s a parking lot and a hotel or restaurant, and some huts, about maybe 15kms from the mountain. It was still somewhat cold there, so if you want to take the tour, you really need warm cloths.

Provided good weather conditions, you can even see the mountain peaks from a hill at the city of Kiruna. The summer before, I drove up that hill and was shown by some Swedish tourist where the Kebnekaise would be if we could see it :)

Those who like Sweden in the summer may give it a try in the outgoing winter (March). The weather was as bright and sunny as on this pic almost all the time, except for the southernmost parts of the country which were warmer and more cloudy. If you are lucky, you can see some polar lights in that area during the nights, though it´s a litte late for them in March.
