Photographer's Note

A day of snowfall --- I had been driving for some hours at very low speeds, towing my camping trailer through the snow and the dim light. Hit the brakes not carefully enough, and the trailer will overtake you. You never know if some reindeer or another obstacle may suddenly appear.

The dim light and the snow all around makes everything like 18% grey, so you have to stress your eyes. It`s fun without a trailer, though.

Look at the blue-white poles. They are marking the borders of the parking lot. The Swedish must have actually millions of these poles to mark borders of roads and parking lots so that they can still be seen when they are hidden under the snow.

During snow falls, plow-trucks seem to be at work 24 hours a day. I`ve seen them passing at about 2am in the night. If it were snowing like that where I live, traffic would stand still --- but the Swedish are prepared and just go on.

Also see this one which was taken the next day.

The blue road sign in the middle-right reads `Malung 34`.
