TE PoV: the Ligerz Papagolfade Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Ligerz Papagolfade seems to be floating above the Bielersee lake and comes back to TE each autumn largely because it is surrounded by those nice golden vineyards, so this year I teamed up with Dominique to present this 2007 vintage. We did not get the best of weather since the view did not reach as far as the Alps as it is the case on a clear day, but the weather was decent, the vineyards golden colors at their best and we had fun shooting there together.

A first chapel was built on this site in 1261, later turned into a bigger church of a size normally found in a city in 1522 to 1526 and renovated in 1669.

Oui la lumiere de fin d'aprem est plus que "decente" le jaune est eclatant!le bateau et son sillage sont interessants pour donner de la vie à l'image.
T'as vu le comparatif 40D contre alpha 700 dans RP?le sony prend un point sur Canon!:-o))

une compo réussie avec cette diagonale formée par les vignes, une chance que ces 2 bateaux passaient par là sinon le lac serait un peu vide.

You have nice use of the bold angle dissecting the frame, jean Ives, and the texture of the vines and of the water contrast so nicely. The village sits nicely on this line with the sun catching the tower so well, But, where did Dominique, get his handsome trekearth hat. I am envious. I would love to have one the same. regards kevin

Quand-même le paysage s'accorde parfaitement avec la météo du jour.
La brume dans le lointain met bien en évidence l'église photographiée d'un bon point de vue.

Beautiful shot! The way the line of the hillside cuts across the frame at an angle really gives this a dynamic look. We are used to seeing the sky above the fields, not the water, so this is quite different and interesting. Great colour too. Well done!

A very nice perspective of a very interesting place. I really like the intense angle of the foreground that immediately takes the eye to the church and steeple. Bonjour, Jean-Yves. Un endroit qui n'est en effet pas tout à fait inconnu sur TE. Le lac convient à merveille pour mettre en valeur l'avant-plan. Le contraste avec les feuilles aux couleurs or est bien marqué et l'église se détache bien sur la surface bleue. De la surface lisse du lac qui est à peine dérangée par les deux bateaux se dégage une grande impression de sérénité.

Jolie vue très dynamique avec ces bateaux sur le lac. Un contraste de couleurs chaud-froid très fort avec ce clocher très bien positionné entre les deux.je trouve que tu as bien geré l'absence très relative de clareté de l'atmosphère.

Encore un bon cadrage et une belle lumière, je trouve cependant que le fil blanc au dessus des vignes attire un peu trop l'oeil, je pense qu'avec un petit coup de tampon du CS3, tu aurais eu une compo quasi parfaite.

Rien à redire, c'est nickel, bien composé et très bien réalisé. Le 24-70 et le capteur du 40D ont l'air de bien s'entendre entre eux car la qualité semble vraiment top.
Les couleurs superbes des vignes d'automne contraste magnifiquement avec le bleu profond du lac.

Salut Jean Yves, nice shot with the strong diagonal separating the two parts of the frame which differ in colour and light, and this division, and the whole upper part in fact, is broken by the church tower, very nice to have the boat to balance.

That huge triangle of autumn colours is a perfect frame for the view of the church, while the hazy lake is the perfect background. The small detail of the boat entering the frame is an important element of interest in the scene.

Tu as bien profité d'une belle lumière pour mettre en valeurs ces vignes aux couleurs sudafricaines. Bel équilibre entre l'église et le bateau. C'est assez graphique comment les vignes coupent l'angle.
