Photographer’s Note

The Ligerz Papagolfade is situated over the namewise village within the vineyards and because of it is a must see in autumn when the leaves display full fall colors glow, this angle here is not the most common as it does not show the lake below, but it has perspective to the church and choosing a closer angle helps deliver stronger blue sky without haze, this photo is from a last year's small trek with Dominique.

A first chapel was built on this site in 1261, later turned into a bigger church of a size normally found in a city in 1522 to 1526 and renovated in 1669.
