Hi Yan, a very nervous scene, I can really sense the tension..
Nicely composed, good isolation.. the four lights in the top left, synchronise well with the main supporters in your shot. I love the workshop!

Hi Yan,

I like the colors, the concentration you captured on the boy's face but I don't like it as much as the WS, which, to my opinion, is even stronger, with a dramatical impact more powerful. But the composition is good and the DOF excellent.

Hi Yan. Great shot showing how much we need to believe in heroes, in something bigger than ourselves. The expression of the boy is priceless, the tribal colours are most vivid and those heads turned upwards say so much. Great work. Hi Yan,
Their faces show the sensation of a big tragedy. And still it's just a game. I guess in B&W this could remind of some Italian movie classics. Big drama indeed.

Nice shot Yan, really tells the story about the game. Pity you were not on the Dutch side, or did you expect the Italians would win? ;-)
It are the bold fat colours which brings the image even to a higher level, could be posted tomorrow in the Gazzetta Dello Sport to tell the story of the game...

bonsoir Yan, tu postes tard dis donc, alors faute de regarder le match, tu prends les spectateurs en photos... hihi...moi aussi j'aime bien prendre les visages et immortaliser leurs réactions.. le gamin semble inquiet pour ses favoris.Il est devant un écran de télévision? peut être un peu trop saturé à mon goüt??

Yan, cette fois je préfère le WS et de loin. Dans le WS, il y a les doigts croisés, l'expression dans la figure qui est encore plus convaincante et finalement, le bleu dans le fond contraste à merveille. On voit juste assez les gens autour du petit garçon pour deviner l'ambiance.
Sur la version originale, c'est encore un moment décisif, y a pas de doute. Y a encore l'ambiance...encore plus d'ambiance en fait. C'est juste que visuellement, ça passe moins bien. C'est du grand art...mais je préfère le WS.
De plus, je ne sais pas trop ce qui se passe avec le pp, on dirait que le garçon est placé devant un écran...c'est probablement juste la lumière qui vient de sa droite.

a very impressive photo, the look of the boy is so touching... also very nice colours, they are so strong ( also in the ws, the colours are splendid ). i think this one ( and the one from the ws) should be in national geographic !!!!

elle est excellente celle-ci, cet enfant est captivé par le match et anxieux du résultat final, il n'avait pas tort sur ce dernier point...
Par contre en voyant le WS, je préfère nettement ce dernier, le gamin est mieux isolé et ses doigts croisés sont vraiment sympas.
Du beau boulot !

J'étais dans la Fan Zone pour le premier match, mais l'ambiance étais nulle... je vois que j'aurais du rester!
Comme un certain nombre d'autres membres, je préfère la photo du WS qui montre toute l'angoisse de ce gamin face à son équipe qui est en train de perdre. La prise en contre-plongée donne aussi un impact plus fort. Dans ta note à Francine tu parle d'un nouvel objectif, masi c'est dommage de ne pas nous dire duquel il s'agit! ;o)

Bonjour Yan
Ton image est généale et montre bien la tristesse des italiens (pas du tout partagé par moi-même, lol). J'aime bien la nettété et la lumière sur le visage du garçon ainsi le fait qu'il soit cadré à droit et en décalage avec les filles derrière.

Both shots are great my friend. And I am waiting for a Euro 2008 series somewhere else in another place. ;) Colours are wonderful here (the Italian flag really helps...) and that dof game isolating the drama worked very well. I love it.

Tu figurais déjà parmi les membres dont j'admire le travail, mais pour t'avoir échappé de mon radar pour quelque temps, j'ai l'impression que tu viens de monter d'une autre coche ton talent...

Le workshop, il est simplement fulgurant. Je me laisse de plus en plus tirer du côté des paysages, du moins dans mes diverses tentatives de me trouver une niche, mais ton portrait me ramène directement du côté "human interest"... C'est vraiment impressionnant ce que tu as fait avec ces fans en transe... Presqu'une scène biblique...
