The 'Cabane des Dix'
This mountain refuge is situated at an altitude of 2928m in the Valais region of Swiss Alps, at the end of the Val des Dix.

I was lucky enough to pass through this place last week, in superb weather. What a fantastic view.

Great view from high Alps. Rough nature well presented. Good half cloudy light. The cabin works well as the main focal point.

Fine mountain shot and - indeed - what an odd house - which adds to the overall appeal. It really doesn't look like it ought to be there at all. Must be a long way to the newsagents!
